About the Trainer
Rebecca Wheeler is the proud mother of Jr. Trainers, Courtney (11) and Joshua (4) and full-time, professional trainer. With an background in education, Rebecca has taken her knowledge of early
learning and education techniques and adapted them to the canine world. A lover of all
animals, Rebecca (since the age of 5) has been a 'rescuer' of animals. Taken under the wing of
Annette Janis, Rebecca learned the art of training both obedience and agility. While an apprentice,
Rebecca became attached to many rescued animals and decided to focus her training skills on the
larger breed dogs and larger breed rescues.
Today, Rebecca enjoys helping animals both large and small. Her family 'pack' consists of a variety of
dogs owned by her family members including Tuffy (Min poodle), Prince (Yorkshire Terrier),
Rose (Siberian Mix), Bettie (American Pit Bull Terrier), Boss (American Pit Bull Terrier) and Rebecca's
personal companion, Mercy (Snoodle).
Rebecca is an active member and training sponsor of the Houston Pit Bull and Bully Breed Meetup and Board Member of Pristine Performance Agility Club and the Rock-A-Bully Rescue. Rebecca is also the preferred trainer of Safe Respite Rescue and Texas No Kill.
Rebecca has developed several programs, each designed to achieve specific results. Her approach is not one size fits all. Some of Rebecca's programs include:
